| This contest is ALL about FEATHERS! Since we are all bead artists, then we are 'birds of a feather' and this contest is all about incorporating feathers into your bead work, be it bead woven or bead embroidery. |
Contest Rules: Open to beaders around the world! You may have up to 3 Entries! Because I want this to be a challenge, there will be NO earrings allowed, unless, it is part of a set. You may use multi-media in this, but the main part of your work has to be done with seed beads and must incorporate REAL bird feathers. All designs must be ORIGINAL and made special for this contest. Your photos must be clear and sized at 1000 pixels wide and 200-300ppi. Blurry photos will not be accepted and you will be notified, so that you may retake your photos in due time. Blurry photos sent the last day of the contest will not be accepted, you will receive condolences. All photos need to have your logo or name in the bottom right corner. Tell me what inspired you to use the feathers that you used in your bead work. Your text will be published with your photo. I will edit, if need be, for any overseas entries. All photos must be emailed to christina@goodquillhunting.com Subject is 'BIRDS OF A FEATHER CONTEST'. Please include your Name, Address & link to your Website, Etsy, ArtFire, blog, etc! Deadline for contest is: October 31, 2012 @ 12PM [EST] Winner will be chosen: November 7, 2012 @ 12PM [EST] Prizes will be shipped out within 72 hours of contest results. Prizes announced at a later date. I will be contributing a $50. GC to a bead shop...so far. Voting will be done by a panel of 5 Judges. ------------------- Voting Criteria: You will be voted on creativity, originality, wearability & your verbal expression of how the feathers inspired you. ------------------- There will also be a 'People's Choice' vote. A Poll will be made on Polldaddy.com and posted from Oct. 31-Nov 7. There will not be a prize for the 'People's Choice'. You will get a banner and certificate of recognition. |
